Project partners: Panevėžys Vytautas Mikalauskas Arts Gymnasium, VšĮ “Mažas draugas”, Mariengymnasium Warendorf (Germany), Colegiul național “Spiru Haret” (Romania).

Project Objective

To ensure quality and accessible education for all students, taking into account their individual needs and abilities, providing every student with opportunities to develop intellectual, emotional and social competencies by providing effective educational support and using specially adapted learning environments.

Project Description

Through the implementation of the planned project activities, an environment will be created that encourages students’ creativity, critical thinking, social responsibility and ability to work in teams. The project also focuses on ensuring students’ emotional well-being and developing educational support services so that all students can feel safe, accepted and respected.

The planned spectrum of activities is very diverse, therefore it will be suitable for those with behavioral and emotional disorders, various developmental disorders. Various therapies will be conducted, as well as conditions will be created for artistic and educational activities that help compensate for the negative impact of unfavorable environment on child development. It is essential to properly prepare staff for working with children with special educational needs, therefore professional development training is planned for specialists working with all-day school activities.

Planned Project Impact

Establishment of an all-day school at K. Paltarokas Gymnasium.

Project Results

  • Number of children under 18 years old who received all-day school services: 200
  • Persons with tertiary education (ISCED 5-8 codes) contributing to all-day school activities: 36
  • Percentage of children who received educational support for at least 3 months: 85%
  • Percentage of persons who participated in training and acquired competencies: 80%

Implementation Framework

The project is implemented under the 2022-2030 development program managed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania, progress measure No. 12-003-03-02-01 “Implement inclusive education” activity “Create and implement a package of measures for inclusive education and educational support in general education schools, ensuring greater accessibility of education, all-day school services, provision of necessary special education measures for children with special educational needs.”
